The Anaheim fire department with the following picture once again warned citizens not to park in front of fire hydrants. The firefighters posted this picture of a car with smashed windows in order to pull the fire hose through it.

“Ever wonder what happens when a car is parked in front of a fire hydrant and a fire breaks out? Is a closer parking spot worth the broken windows and the citation and towing fees to Anaheim Police Deparmtent. Citizens of Anaheim residents please do not park in fire lane.”

The fire department also answered the question why they did not simply put the fire hose under or over the car: “It doesn’t fit underneath the car and if we put it over the damage to the car would have been greater than two broken windows.”
