Pictures of a group of teens throwing ‘roman salutes’ while playing beer pong of which the cups have been set up in a ‘questionable’ formation are making the rounds on social media.
Many of the teens participating in the drinking game with the cups arranged in the shape of a swastika have by now been named.
It is believed most of the teenagers are current or former students of Newport Harbor High School, in California.
School administrators claim they have launched an investigation after pictures circulated online.
Parents who have children at the school received an email which read: ‘We were made aware of social media postings involving some students who created inappropriate anti-Semitic symbols, and possible underage drinking. While these actions did not occur on any school campus or school function, we condemn all acts of anti-Semitism and hate in all their forms.’
(Editor’s note: some people on social media have started naming the teens who participated in this. We don’t feel this is necessary and therefore publish blurred pictures with no names.)
