A 59-year-old German gardener in Enkenbach-Alsenborn died of apparent poisoning last week. Police ruled that Mr Bernhard Graumann had taken his own life.
However, now that today a German doctor died in a bomb blast just outside his practice in what is thought to have been one of a series of booby traps left by the dead gardener, police are on the lookout for anyone that hired the services of the man.
According to the local police department, the gardener is ‘seeking to settle scores from beyond the grave.’
Police have now urged anyone who had fallen out with Mr Bernhard Graumann to be on their guard after the explosion in Enkenbach-Alsenborn, a village near Kaiserslautern in the western state of Rhineland-Palatinate.
Security forces are being called in to inspect all gardens around the small village.
