A daring robbery took place at the airport of Bonn yesterday. The airport of the city near the Dutch-Belgian and French border which was West-Germany’s capital before the reunification was the scene of a robbery at gunpoint filmed by the terminal’s security cameras.
Police in North Rhine-Westphalia are on the hunt for three masked attackers who robbed the armored vehicle at the Cologne-Bonn Airport. It is assumed they are already in another EU country by now.
A security guard was seriously injured in the incident and remains in hospital with gunshot wounds. The man was the driver of the armored money transport.
The men fled in a black Audi which was later found burnt out in Porz, a town on the outskirts of Cologne.
Media reports and detailed video shows how the attackers were able to escape with a suitcase.
