Apple, the daughter of Goop founder and former actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Coldplay singer Chris Martin, who’s already the butt of many jokes (just look up how many times ‘celebrities naming their kids fruit’ showed up in rom-coms in the past decade), has ‘sharented’ (sharenting or parents shaming) her famous mother after the former actress posted a picture of her to her 5 million followers on Instagram.
Writing on her own private Instagram channel, Apple Martin said: “Mom we have discussed this. You may not post anything without my consent.”
However, her mother wasn’t so impressed after the picture got over 150k likes and said: “You can’t even see your face!”
Paltrow’s hardcore fans argue that she, as the mother of a child who’s still a minor (Apple is 14), has every right to share pictures of her daughter. Others disagree and say children deserve a right to privacy too as pictures posed on the internet tend to stay there forever.
