For the time being, Britain is still just an EU member. But the British government removed the “European Union” mention above the “United Kingdom” designation on newly printed passports, assuming that the much-discussed Brexit would have taken place on March 29 as originally foreseen.
Susan Hindle Barone was one of the first to notice the difference. She tweeted: “Truly appalled. Picked up my new passport today – my old one expires in the next couple of months. See below: Spot the difference!”
