An unspoken rumor has simmered underneath the UK tabloid press for almost a year now. Just as US magazine In Touch was the first to dare and publish it, their UK peers were immediately hit with the threat of legal action from Kensington Palace’s legal team should they take over this rumor.
The American ‘In Touch magazine’ last week became the first mainstream outlet to publish the sensational rumor that Prince William may have had an affair with his aristocratic neighbor Rose Hanbury, known over in England by her Aristocratic name as the Marchioness of Cholmondeley (pronounced Chumley), while Kate Middleton was pregnant with their third child.
The magazine quotes a source saying that after hearing the rumors herself, Kate “immediately confronted” William, who “just laughed it off saying there was nothing to it.”
Kate apparently ordered William to stop socializing with the Cholmondeleys immediately afterwards.
“Kate sees their friendship in an entirely different light now,” the source for In Touch’s says, adding that her trust in William has wavered.
“They come across as a perfect couple who can do no wrong, but the reality is, most couples have their issues and William and Kate are no different.”
