A North Korean envoy who was closely involved in the negotiations during the second meeting between North Korea leader Kim Jong-un and US President Donald Trump was allegedly executed. South Korean newspaper Chosun Ilbo reports this based on anonymous sources.
Kim Hyok-chol was put to death in March with four other employees of the North Korean Foreign Ministry. The five are held responsible for the failure of the negotiations at the February summit. They would also have spied for the United States.
